You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that all registration information you submit is accurate and truthful. Reel may, in its sole discretion, refuse to offer access to or use of the Services to any person or entity and change its eligibility criteria at any time. This provision is void where prohibited by law and the right to access the Services is revoked in such jurisdictions. Individuals under the age of 18 must at all times use Reel’s services only in conjunction with and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age. In all cases, the adult is the user and is responsible for any and all activities.
COMPLIANCE. You agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content. You are responsible for all applicable taxes. In addition, you must abide by Reel’s policies as stated in the Agreement and the Reel policy documents listed below (if applicable to your activities on or use of the Services) as well as all other operating rules, policies and procedures that may be published from time to time on the Site by Reel. In addition, some services offered by Reel may be subject to additional terms and conditions promulgated by Reel from time to time; your use of such services is subject to those additional terms and conditions, which are incorporated into this Agreement by this reference. For our compliance purposes and in order to provide the Services to you, you hereby authorize us to, directly or through a third-party, obtain, verify, and record information and documentation that helps us verify your identity and Bank Account information. When you register for the Services and from time to time thereafter, we may require you to provide and/or confirm information and documentation that will allow us to identify you, such as:
- A copy of your government-issued photo ID, such as a passport or driver’s license;
- A copy of a utility bill, bank statement, affidavit, or other bill, dated within three months of our request, with your name and U.S. street address on it; and
- Such other information and documentation that we may require from time to time.
By using the Services and providing User Information to us, you automatically authorize us to obtain, directly or indirectly through our third-party service providers and without any time limit or the requirement to pay any fees, information about you and your Bank Account from the financial institution holding your Bank Account and other third-party websites and databases as necessary to provide the Services to you.
There are no handling fees for users to Reel an item, making transfers between goals, or for placing the order.
Inactivity fee: Only goals with no activity in the previous 12 months will be charged an inactivity service fee. The fee will be $2 a month deducted from the dollar amount inactive on the goal, or the remaining dollar balance on the goal if less than $2. We highly encourage users to transfer the saved amount to another goal, transfer the amount to their bank accounts, or re-start the transactions to avoid inactivity fees.
Cash-out fee: If at any point during the process the user decides to ask for their money back, also know as a “cash out" the money saved through Reel will be returned to the user’s Bank Account where the funds originated from. It will take up to 10 Business Days for the refund to be processed by Reel (this does not include banking institutions’ processing times). In that instance, there will be a 5% service fee applied to the amount the user has saved for when the refund is requested. If after receiving the item, the user decides to return it and requests a refund while knowingly refusing Reel to exchange the item or replacing the order from a different retailer, or even transferring the accrued funds towards a different item, Reel will subtract the provided 5% Service Fee upon refunding the requested cash out amount.
In all circumstances the funds must be returned to the original bank account they originated from when requesting a cash-out. If the user has closed the bank account where the funds originated from, they will be required to confirm their identity and ownership of the new bank account where they would like to receive a cash-out by sending a copy of the bank account holders information including but not limited to name and address along with a form of identification that matches the information of the bank account holder.
